Grand Central Terminal During the 2016 Blizzard
Ventured out unto a deserted Midtown last night while the blizzard dropped 26.8 inches on the City. Four figures look at Grand Central Terminal in the snow. This was taken with a Fuji X-E1 and a 16mm f/1.4. I love the focal length of the 16mm on a crop sensor. It provides a wide angle and fast aperture.

The 2016 Blizzard has dropped 26.8 inches on NYC, which was .1 inch away from the City's record. This was taken with a rear curtain flash.

The Decisive Moment: The End of Rain
“Of all the means of expression, photography is the only one that fixes a precise moment in time.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson
Bresson talks of a decisive moment, of the almost instantaneous recognition of a split second occurrence that perfectly aligns with the photographer's vision.
I waited for the rain to finish at Rockefeller Center. While waiting, I knew of a window off to the side of the observatory that allows you to view the outdoor observation deck. I was surprised to see this older woman and child viewing the City during the rainstorm. She momentarily reached out to touch the rain and I snapped this photo.Rockefeller CenterNew York CityDecisive MomentrainTop of the Rock
Sunrise at the Taj Mahal
A boat ride on the Yamuna isn't something that is readily available. The Yamuna is very polluted and the water level decreases five feet every year. Boat rides are restricted. However, our guide knew a local fisherman who was friendly with the local police. As a result, we set off at sunrise to make to trip, without final confirmation. Thankfully, once we got there, our boatman was waiting and we were on our way. The view was amazing. This pictures does not do it justice.
