New York City has a ton of amazing views. I have been capturing the views from various rooftops since 2010 and I usually get access to private rooftops. However, there are an equal amount of brilliant public rooftops that are available to a cityscape photographer. Many of these views are accessible through rooftop bars. I usually wasn’t too keen on taking my large dslr to rooftop bars but I have no problem bringing my Fuji x100s and a table top tripod. That is exactly how I captured this shot. The specific location of this shot is from the roof of 230 Fifth Avenue. The sunset was brilliant but the Southwest direction is blocked off for table service. However, I loved the reflecting colors and decided to capture this.
This was taken with my trusty Fuji x100s and processed in Lightroom. The shadows were boosted and I tweaked the tonal range,.
